Clerk's Office

Kathleen Mohawk - Clerk

The Village Clerk's office is open to the public from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and until 5:30 PM on Tuesdays.

The Mayor with the approval of the Board of Trustees appoints the Clerk.

The Clerk's Office exists to support the administrative operations of the Village. Village Clerk Kathleen Mohawk is responsible for maintaining all records of the village. She and her staff collect taxes and assessments, water and sewer payments, sell garbage stickers for residents and are available to answer questions regarding village issues and policies. she attends all board meetings and produces the minutes, a written record of said meetings. The Village Clerk is a Notary Public and is Chief Registrar for the village.

Garbage
Garbage stickers come in two sizes - for 15 gallon or 30 gallon bags. Cost is $1.25 for the 15 gallons size and $2.00 for the 30 gallon size. All recycle items are picked up for free. Trash pickup is the second Thursday of each month from April through October at no charge. Yard waste pickup is the last Thursday of each month - April through October.

Water & Sewer
Water and sewer bills are mailed quarterly.

Birth & Death Certificates
Certified copies of birth and death certificates are $10 each. We keep all copies for births and deaths in the village including those at Tri County Hospital and the Gowanda Nursing Home.

Permits/Licenses
The Clerk's office also issues building permits, solicitor's permits, business licenses and bell jar licenses.
